“Dutch technology and know-how towards Macedonia

The Dutch company Go4Agri International BV from Bemmel together with NL Agro Invest d.o.o. Vinica, has reacted in December last year on the advertisement “Expression of Interest” from Macedonian government and presented a concept for the development of the 17ha location in the Kochani Municipality in East Macedonia.

“The communication with the Macedonian government has been very positive and constructive so that the adjustments in the goal plan and the procedure are quite advanced. We hope for picking the date quickly”- according to Mr. de Beijer.

The concept of the Green Park is based on the consortium of Dutch companies who cooperate with Go4Agri and are capable to fully complete the agriculture process chain with the necessary technology and knowledge from the central location in the Balkans. The Green Park will be envisaged in direct supplies from plant materials, breeding substrates, irrigation systems etc. from small and medium companies.

For the Dutch companies coming market from the Balkans and the East Europe countries is within reach of a couple of hours and the future clients save 2500 km of travelling to experience the technology and together with the Dutch companies communicate with educated people in their own language.

This project is a very big step for the development of the Macedonian agriculture, because of the full agriculture chain, starting with InVitro laboratory, greenhouses with infrastructure, plant materials, breeding substrates, solar energy, cold and storage places, transport, etc. including agriculture treatment and export centers as economic examples. These products obtainable also from these location plus the practical accompaniment and educational aspects become possible, according to Mr. Imanse.

An important step was achieved from the Municipality of Kochani for the public supplies to and on the location and the availability of the geothermal water for the greenhouses complex. This was stated in a contract that was signed on February 3, 2010.

“There is lots of work done and still lots of work to do to fulfill the location of 17 ha until the last m2. There is still place available for more Dutch companies and agro financing up to 70% from Investlease GmbH can make it happen for the participating companies.- according to both gentlemen.”
